Shelby, Michigan, is a small town located near the I-69 freeway between Charlotte and Lansing. Shelby has a tiny population; it offers many opportunities for anyone wanting to visit or move there. It is one of the largest wineries in Michigan. Be sure to inquire about the history of the building as it is one of only three German-built, pre-balloon hangars from WWII in North America still standing.
3. Shop 'til you drop while exploring Old Town Shelby.
There are many shops to explore, including two toy stores, one of which offers an extensive collection of vintage toys from the past 50 years. If you enjoy antique malls, there are three shops to choose from, with one offering antiques and collectibles from the past 300 years. Be sure to leave time for some of the top-rated restaurants in town before calling it a day.
4. Enjoy dinner at Pub 25, Playhouse & Eatery.
Pub 25 is the perfect place to enjoy your evening meal, complete with drinks served by friendly waitresses and bartenders.
5. Be entertained by one of the local community plays.
Shelby is home to the Shelby Little Theatre Company, which consists of 30+ local actors who put on 3 or 4 plays a year, as well as an annual Christmas unique pantomime
6. Spend an evening enjoying some live music while having a drink at the local pub.
The Pub on Main Street is a popular place for locals and visitors alike to enjoy drinks and live music by local musicians who play for tips on some nights.
Shelby is a beautiful community with many things to see and do for both residents and visitors. You may visit the community theater within 24 hours, sample wine at a local winery, shop in downtown Shelby or one of the adjacent townships, or go on an afternoon wine tour.
